LVFIT REOPENING PROTOCOL JUNE 1st
To our family of LVFiT members,
As fitness studios in BC are given the green light from government officials to open back up for business, we’re committed to our social obligation of safety and the wellbeing of our members and the communities of Langley and Surrey that we serve.
Our Reopening Protocol is an in-depth gym reopening process combining social distancing, facility disinfecting, and preventative measures to ensure that both members and staff are safe while experiencing an enjoyable, entertaining and effective workout.
Until Covid-19 is behind us, we have to take precautions to make sure we can stay open. Here’s how we can help keep LVFiT safe for everyone:
WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS
Wait outside until it’s time for your class as we have to limit the amount of people in the facility at any one time. The door will remain closed between sessions and open during sessions. We’ve taken the extra precaution to create a member waiting area outside of the facility that is marked with red lines and designed to keep waiting members spaced out 6 feet and to allow for safe social distancing practice (alternatively, you can wait in your car or in the parking lot).
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Wait outside until it’s time for your class as we have to limit the amount of people in the facility at any one time. We’ve taken the extra precaution to create a member waiting area outside of the facility that’s designed to keep waiting members spaced out 6 feet and to allow for safe social distancing practice. We will be opening our doors with a 50% reduced capacity of 12 spots per workout to allow for a minimum 2 meters between members at all times while in the gym. Sessions will hold 12 spots with 6 individuals starting on BOX and 6 individuals starting on LIFT. When members switch halfway, they will be using the unused BOX and LIFT stations so no equipment is used twice per workout.
SCREENING AT CHECK-IN
Our team will check for signs of illness upon check in. We ask that if you are have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite that you please don’t come to the gym. If you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 please let us know. Staff will be required to stay home if feeling unwell and members should do the same.
STAY SANITIZED
Every member will be asked to disinfect or wash their hands upon entering and exiting the gym using the provided solution at the front door or in the washroom. Members and staff should wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (provided throughout the gym).
HANDS FREE CHECK-IN
No iPad necessary! Our team will check you in when you arrive. Please do not put items in the lockers. You will take your water bottle, sweat towel, gloves, and wraps to your training space. Please bring a large towel or yoga mat to set down to workout on and limit bringing additional belongings into the gym.
GLOVES
Members have the option to rent gloves if they wish to do so. These gloves will continue to be thoroughly sanitized by our team and will be rotated so they are never used twice in a 24 hour period. Members without their own gloves and those who do not wish to use rental gloves will have the option to shadowbox or purchase our signature LVFiT boxing gloves at a 25% discount. All individuals will be required to sanitize their hands prior to the use of rental gloves. As always, all members who purchase an unlimited membership will get a complimentary pair of LVFiT gloves.
LIMITED CONTACT
We ask staff and members to please refrain from high 5’s and fist bumps for the time being. Gloves will be required to be worn by staff during cleaning.
DEEP CLEANING
Each space will also be equipped with a sanitizer bottle containing Grassroots, a disinfectant approved by Health Canada to kill the coronavirus. Members are asked to disinfect the equipment thoroughly at the end of each workout. After every workout session and once members exit the facility, the staff will close the front door and perform a thorough cleaning of the equipment and space used, as well as any surfaces that were touched including the restrooms. As part of our standard procedures, our team uses antiviral disinfectants to clean all equipment and surfaces multiple times per day and specifically in between every training session and class.
At this time, we would ask all members who “checked out” equipment to make arrangements to drop off their equipment on Friday May 29th from 4-6pm. If you cannot drop it off during that time, please email us to arrange another time.
If you would like to set up your membership for June 1st, please contact us to reactivate.
We realize that as a brand we have a social responsibility to our members, staff and the community that we serve and we’re fully committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the safety of everyone during these unusual times.
Committed to your health and wellness,
LVFiT
